Objective: TO be able to identify elements and chemical bonds
Materials: Science Notebook
Check for understanding
 *Project - Create a poster that explains the differences between covalent and ionic bonds.
 *Lab - How is the periodic table organized?
Discussion Questions:
* What is an ionic compound?
* How do metallic bonds differ from covalent and ionic bonds?


HW: Chapter 8 Lesson 2 Vocabulary (Due Wednesday)
         Chapter 8 Lesson 2 Review (Due Friday)
         Lab Project - ongoing

Objective: To determine if two lines are parallel or perpendicular using slope and to write an equation of a line that is parallel or perpendicular


Materials Needed: Textbook (pg 170), Workbook (pg 189-190), and Notebook


Check for Understanding:
  • Answer the “Problem of the Day” (See attached).  Submit your answer to me.
  • Check your notes. Section 6-8 - Submit a picture of your notes on Google Classroom at the end of class.
Activity:
  • Review the “Problem of the Day”. Have students present the steps and talk through the solution.
  • Practice problems using link below
  • Continue practice on iXL
  • EXIT TICKET --> must submit for class credit
  • View video lesson and copy the practice problems in your notes.
  •  Submit Notes at the end of class.
  •  Submit Exit Ticket

Baggie Seed Lab:
1. Every day, check your seed.
- You will need to see if the paper towel is dry? You should measure (SI - measure in cm)
- Add data to your graph and take notes on your observations. You can include color, shape, changes, etc..
