 *Project - Create a poster that explains the differences between covalent and ionic bonds.
 *Lab - How is the periodic table organized?
Discussion Questions:
* What is an ionic compound?
* How do metallic bonds differ from covalent and ionic bonds?


HW: Chapter 8 Lesson 2 Vocabulary (Due Wednesday)

Materials Needed: Textbook (pg 170), Workbook (pg 189-190), and Notebook

  • Answer the “Problem of the Day” (See attached).  Submit your answer to me.
  • Check your notes. Section 6-8 - Submit a picture of your notes on Google Classroom at the end of class.
Activity:
  • Review the “Problem of the Day”. Have students present the steps and talk through the solution.

  • EXIT TICKET --> must submit for class credit

Baggie Seed Lab:
1. Every day, check your seed.
- You will need to see if the paper towel is dry? You should measure (SI - measure in cm)
- Add data to your graph and take notes on your observations. You can include color, shape, changes, etc..
2. Set-up a hand drawn graph OR Use Google Sheets to create a chart
